homesick

strangers,

longing for our safe space.

but you're just a follower,

nothing but two-faced.

missing our home,

wishing you were with me.

wanting you as my own,

memories deeper than the sea.

i'm homesick,

yearning for your family's love.

if only i was who you picked,

instead, she's your chosen dove.

- sincerely, anonymous

walking past you,

like the strangers we are.

forced to live apart,

yet forever in love

in each other's heart.

- sincerely, anonymous

your hand on my cheek,

pulling my body closer to yours.

there's comfort in the familiar,

in the warmth of your smile,

in the sound of synched heartbeats.

but there's fear in my heart,

tears in my eyes.

I know the warmth is fleeting:

soon to be followed by your absence,

leaving me cold once more.

- sincerely, anonymous

I dreaded that night,

Wearing heavy makeup to conceal the pain.

As I struggled to choke back tears,

Hiding from the crowd,

You found me.

You weren't the person I wanted,

You were the light I never knew I needed.

- Sincerely, Anonymous

porcelain doll

porcelain doll,

creepy when it crawls.

staring through my soul,

sitting on my consol.

remaining in its place,

feeling like a disgrace.

constantly all alone,

no one ringing its phone.

an outcast,

relationships never last.

always forgotten about,

stuck in its endless pout.

- sincerely, anonymous
